Megan A. Carney is professor of anthropology and director of the Center for Regional Food Studies at the University of Arizona. She is the author of two award-winning books, “The Unending Hunger: Tracing Women and Food Insecurity Across Borders” and “Island of Hope: Migration and Solidarity in the Mediterranean.” She is also president-elect for the Association for Feminist Anthropology and on the board of trustees for the Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona.
