Lucy Marcil

Lucy Marcil is a pediatrician at THEARC, a Children’s National clinic in Southeast DC, and associate professor of pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is the Founder of the Health by Wealth Collective, which has spread the medical financial partnership model around the United States. The Health by Wealth Collective integrates financial services into routine prenatal and pediatric care by helping “prescribe” a bundle of underutilized state and federal economic benefits that evidence shows help moms and babies be healthier. These benefits are things like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), SNAP and WIC, paid family and medical leave, 529 College Savings Accounts, (529 CSAs) and HUD’s Family Self Sufficiency, an asset building program.
