Chris Chivvis

Christopher S. Chivvis is director of the American Statecraft Program and a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. From 2018-2021 he served as the U.S. National Intelligence Officer for Europe. Before joining the National Intelligence Council, he was the deputy head of the RAND Corporation’s international security program and worked in the Defense Department. He is the author of three books.
