Susan Erikson

Susan Erikson is a distinguished professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and author of Investable! When Pandemic Risk Meets Speculative Finance – A Cautionary Tale (MIT Press 2025). An award-winning medical anthropologist, Dr. Erikson has worked in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and North America. During an earlier international affairs career, she first worked in West Africa for two years before working in Washington, DC, on foreign policy and trade issues with government departments and international organizations.
