Giamila Fantuzzi

Giamila Fantuzzi is a professor and associate department head of kinesiology and nutrition at the University of Illinois Chicago. She completed her studies in her hometown of Milano, Italy, before moving to the United States, where she worked at New England Medical Center and the University of Colorado. Her research focuses on the role inflammatory mediators play in chronic diseases.She is on the board of directors of the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
